We’re Making Progress with the VyprVPN – iOS 8 Fix

Update: A fix is now available for VyprVPN for iOS 8. Please read our blog post for instructions.

With the iOS 8 release last week, the most recent version of the VyprVPN for iOS app does not work correctly, resulting in your Internet connectivity being temporarily broken. We really appreciate our iOS users’ patience and we are committed to fixing the issue. We have been working hard on a solution and will begin testing at the end of this week. We hope to submit our new build with Apple soon so it will be available in the App Store next week. Please note that manual set up for VyprVPN for iOS still works. If you are using iOS 8, please delete your VPN profile and then follow the iOS manual setup instructions in our Support section.

Yosemite (OS X) Update

In other Apple news, over the past month we have tested VyprVPN for Mac against several builds of the OS X Yosemite Preview. Good news! VyprVPN is working with OpenVPN and Chameleon protocols on Yosemite. For people using the public OS X Yosemite Beta Program, please connect using OpenVPN or Chameleon.

However PPTP and L2TP protocols are not currently working on Yosemite. We suspect Keychain issues but are actively working on the issue. We are confident we can deliver a working build of VyprVPN in advance of the coming Yosemite release. For fastest updates about Yosemite issues, please join the conversation in the VyprVPN – Mac category in the Golden Frog Forum.
